Improving the lives of those who suffer from Lymphedema.
Find relief now.
We understand how embarrassing and painful lymphedema can be.
For the past 24 years, we’ve helped those suffering from lymphedema regain movement and healing.
We use complete decongestive therapy, a noninvasive method to treat lymphedema.
-
1. Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD)
MLD is a specific pattern of very slow, light and rhythmic stretching of the skin in circular movements to simulate the lymphatic vessels and nodes. This method creates alternative pathways by re-routing stagnant fluid to healthy lymphatic vessels and nodes.
-
2. Compression Bandaging
We use “short” stretch bandages (not ACE bandages) to prevent the re-accumulation of lymphatic fluid. We also apply Kinesio Tape to reduce pain and inflammation.
-
3. Exercise
Remedial range of motion exercises, with the bandages in place, enhance the movement of lymph fluid out of the limb by activating the muscle and joint pump.
-
4. Skin Care and Hygiene
Meticulous skin and nail care inspection is essential to prevent bacterial and fungal infection. Before each bandaging session, pH balanced moisturizing skin lotion is applied to the skin.
Don’t delay.
If left untreated, lymphedema can impair your movement and reduce the quality of your life. Without treatment, your condition will likely continue to deteriorate. Let us help you find freedom of movement and relief from the swelling.
